Crohn’s and Colitis Canada Case for Support

Crohn’s and Colitis Canada is a national charity dedicated to finding the cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and improving the lives of everyone impacted by inflammatory bowel disease. This Case for Support outlines the challenges of living with Crohn’s or colitis, tells the stories of patients and researchers, and illustrates the positive impact the charity has had on both.

After being diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2008, and having my colon removed because of the disease in 2013, I felt particularly invested in this document. Because Crohn’s and colitis are relatively unknown to the public, the goal of this Case for Support was to educate readers about the severity of the chronic diseases as much as the vital work of the charity and its funded researchers.
