Voice Work

My voice ability ranges from broadcast to podcast. I’ve worked as a traffic, news, and business announcer, creating reports for radio stations across Southern Ontario and the Maritimes. I’ve also voiced and produced podcasts for a professional association of financial advisors, and for myself to indulge my interest in sports uniforms and design.

Sport Style Podcast

As part of my coursework at the University of Toronto Mississauga’s Communications program, I produced a series of podcasts that focused on the aesthetics of sport, and examined the design of jerseys, shoes, and performance apparel.

Business Report

In my work for Skywords Media, I researched, wrote, and voiced business reports that aired on a variety of affiliate radio stations. The reports gave listeners a quick update on the most notable business stories of the day, along with key market figures.

Traffic Report

In reporting traffic for Skywords Media affiliate radio stations in different parts of Canada, I had to familiarize myself with a variety of highways, maps, and local sources of traffic information, like police departments and ministries of transportation.

Newscast

Some of Skywords Media’s affiliate stations requested tailored news updates for their listeners. That meant researching, writing, and announcing newscasts that blended local, national, international, and cultural stories.

I’ve loved listening to the radio since I was a high schooler with dreams of becoming a DJ on a rock station. That particular dream may not have been realized (yet), but I loved my time reporting news, business, and traffic, and still being a part of the radio industry. I’d love the chance to get into it again, or to put my voice skills to use in a podcast, sports design-related or otherwise.
